About this stay

Stöð-INN sits on Fjarðarbraut, the same stretch of Route 1 that carries traffic through the rest of Stöðvarfjörður, about 74 kilometres by road from Egilsstaðir Airport. The building was repaired by locals after earlier damage and reopened as a shared project: a guesthouse, a coffee house and a small village shop under one roof, run day to day by Kimi and Eva. Ground-floor rooms keep things simple, each with a private bathroom and shower rather than a shared corridor setup, and private check-in means a late arrival off the Ring Road doesn't depend on catching a front desk open. Breakfast isn't automatically included, but the coffee house sells sourdough breakfast boxes through its own Brauðdagar bread project, a cheaper option than a fixed hotel breakfast for guests moving on early the next morning.
