Eldá Guesthouse sits inside Reykjahlid village itself, close enough to Lake Myvatn that guests can walk to the shore in a few minutes rather than drive. The guesthouse is roughly a 50-minute drive from Dettifoss, one of Iceland's most powerful waterfalls, and Husavik, 55 km away, is the region's whale-watching town. Cycling routes also start close to the door, following the shoreline out past the golf course toward quieter stretches of the lake.
