The apartment sits on the ground floor of a building on the Borgarfjordur shore, 83 km from Reykjavik Domestic Airport, with its own private entrance and no stairs between the car and the door. Two bedrooms and a separate living room give it more room than a typical hotel unit, and the full kitchen, with oven, stovetop, microwave and coffee machine, covers dinner once Hvanneyri's lack of a local restaurant becomes obvious after dark. A private garden and inner courtyard sit just outside, with the Agricultural University's farm buildings and the fjord shoreline both a short walk away. Parquet and hardwood floors run through the rooms, and pets are welcome at no extra charge, which is not a given on a ring-road stop like this one.
